Phonics: This week we worked on the
letter sounds “j, oa, ie, ee, or, and z ” in our Jolly Phonics books. Please review these sounds and songs with
your child.
Lead 21 –Literacy: Unit theme “What
makes me special?” This week we focused
on the question, “What do I like to do?”
Science: We enjoyed learning about recycling and repurposing
items. The children had so much fun
making the t-shirt bags. They work great
for our resting towels.
Math: Math skills we worked on this week included sorting
shapes, exploring numbers and number relationships through 10. We made a class telephone book for the
dramatic play area and a “We Live Here” mural to display in our classroom.
Writing: We read the story titled When I Get Bigger . We
then wrote about something we wanted to do when we got bigger.
