It has been a great week in Kindergarten.  The children are learning new routines and are doing a great job of showing “Cadet Pride”.  The children were so excited to see their friends from preschool as well as to make many new friends!

Cadet Nation Fridays - Sept. 4th is the first Friday of the month and is time for our students to show their “Cadet Pride“ by wearing their Cadet Nation t-shirts given to them last year or a Cadet blue t-shirt.  Throughout the school year the first Friday of the month will be Cadet Nation Day.  Cadet Nation shirts will be ordered and purchased by the district for new students in about two weeks.

This week we worked on the letter sounds “s, a, and t” in our Jolly Phonics books.  Please review these sounds and songs with your child.

The children watched the “Yellow Troll” today and learned how to maintain their self-control.  They say the following rhyme to themselves to gain their self-control: stop 2, 3 – breathe 2, 3 – use my self-control. Throughout the day it has been very helpful for the children to recite this rhyme.
