Jolly
Phonics: This week we worked on the
letter sounds “ie, ee, or, z, w, and ng ” in our Jolly Phonics books. Please review these sounds and songs with
your child.
Lead 21 –Literacy: Unit theme “What
makes me special?” This week we focused
on the question, “How can I share who I am with others?”
Math: In math we focused on identifying shapes. We did
various activities that involved exploring and recognizing circles, triangles,
squares, and rectangles.
Handwriting: The
children worked on writing the lower case letters f, b, l ,and h.
Writing: We read the story titled When I Get Bigger .
We then wrote about something we wanted to do when we got bigger.
Science:
This week we started the Sunshine and
Shadows unit in science. The children
have learned that it takes three things to create a shadow: light, object, and
surface.
