Jolly
Phonics: This week we worked on the
letter sounds “ng, v, oo, and y ” in our Jolly Phonics books. Please review these sounds and songs with
your child.
Social
Studies: Fire Prevention Week – Visit from the Cresco Fire
Department. Coloring contest papers are
due Monday.
Math: In math this week we focused on counting backwards
from 10. We learned how to play the “Countdown Game”.
Handwriting: We worked on writing the lower case letters k and i . The letters f, b, l, t, and h were also
reviewed.
Writing: The book City Signs was read and discussed
with the class Wednesday. The children
then drew and labeled pictures of their favorite place to hang out. The
children then shared their pictures with a partner.
