21 –Literacy: Outdoor Explorers
Unit theme “What can I learn when I explore the outdoors?” This week we focused on the question, “What weather
can I observe each day?”
Writing: Please have the
children practice writing sentences that go along with their pictures they
create at home. Remind them to use their
Jolly Phonics sound sheet when sounding out words. We have been working on starting a sentence
with a capital letter, leaving two finger spaces between words, and using
punctuation to stop a sentence.
Math: This week the children had fun creating their own
subtraction number stories using the iPads to illustrate.
Handwriting: We worked on writing the upper case letters I, L, and T.
Science: We read many books about snow this week. They
completed snow related activities. The snow projects are being displayed in our
classroom.
